Our Story
Cerberus Construction LLC was founded in Longview, Texas by three partners who saw a need for reliable, high-quality underground utility construction in East Texas. Jody Kindred, Dustin Harris, and Wesley Newman, who also comprise the Harnukin Investment Group, combined decades of industry experience to create a company built on precision, safety, and an unwavering commitment to getting the job done right.
The name Cerberus was chosen deliberately. In Greek mythology, Cerberus is the three-headed guardian of the underworld, a symbol of vigilance, strength, and protection. For a company founded by three partners whose work takes place underground, the connection felt right. Three heads, one mission: underground excellence.
Since launching operations, Cerberus has grown into one of East Texas's trusted names in underground boring, fiber optic installation, and utility construction. Our fleet of HDD rigs, excavators, and specialized equipment is maintained to the highest standards, and our DOT-registered operations (USDOT #4004517) reflect our commitment to compliance and professionalism.
